Hearing lots of queries about how best to track progress.  What are the best methods people have found for figuring out how far through they are?

Originally I printed the syllabus and I ticked off each section when completed.

This question prompted me to come up with an IT solution.  You can work out the percentage completed, based on the time estimated in IT Skills Academy for each completed e-learning chapter divided by the total estimated time.  This info could be entered into an Excel spreadsheet.  See attached

This one is based on Software Testing, but feel free to adapt for your own course.
