Exam Revision Techniques

Hi,

When revising for the Software Testing exam I have found the following techniques most useful:

  1. Before starting a new section complete a pre-test to get an idea of your starting point. (see screen shot)
    Pre test
  2. Work methodically through each section - completing it before moving onto the next section.
  3. Complete the knowledge tests as you progress through the sections.  You need to aim for scores of around 70-80%.  Check the certification passmark for a better understanding of what is required - e.g. Java Programmer 1 needs a passmark of 77%.
  4. Revisit previous sections on a regular basis to check you have maintained your knowledge whilst learning new concepts.
  5. From your test results you should be able to identify weaker areas for extra revision. (see screen shot)
