Occupational Taster

The first month of Work Based Learning training, during which you will build your skills and you and your tutors have the chance to check the course is suitable.

OEM

Original Equipment Manufacturer. Refers to components or software installed by the manufacturer.

Open source

Software that is developed, released to and used by the pulic, free as an alternetive to software from large companies.

Operating system

Governs the way hardware and software components in a PC work together.

Optical zoom

Magnifying the size of an image by physically ajusting the camera's lens elements.
