C

Cell

Spreadsheet programs split up the page into many small areas known as cells. Each can be identified by its column and row.

Clipboard

Part of a PC's memory. Information can be copied to the clipboard and pasted elsewhere.

CMYK

Refers to the four coloured inks found in many printers: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

Communications

Communication Essential Skills qualification (sometimes shortened to "Comms"). The Application of Number Essential Skills qualification. This is one of the portfolio-based qualifications you may work towards at ITeC. It is assessed electronically on the ePortfolio and will require you to do things like:
  • Produce two separate documents
  • Take part in discussions
  • Read and summarise information
  • Give a talk or presentation (Level 2)

Cookie

A small file stored on your computer by a website. Used to store browsing preferences and so on.
