ECDL consists of 2 parts:
ECDL Essentials (Level 1 ITQ Award)
- Security for IT Users
- IT User Fundamentals
- Using email and the Internet
ECDL Extra (Level 2 ITQ Certificate)
- Word Processing Software
- Spreadsheet Software
- Presentation Software
- Improving Productivity Using IT
Assessment
All units except the final Improving Productivity Using IT assignment, are assessed by a 45 minute practical exam taken using the computer.
These can include written or multiple choice answers typed into an ‘answerfile’.
Improving Productivity Using IT is a 1 hour assignment made up of practical and theory tasks.
