User Qualifications

We offer three main user qualifications aimed at those using IT in the workplace, or seeking work using using IT.

Common job sectors are office based, schools and education.

eQuals

Accredited by City & Guilds, eQuals are practically based subjects, ranging from introductory skills at Level 1 to advanced techniques at level 3. It consists of a compulsory module covering the background theory of IT, and two application oriented units.

  • eQuals Advanced Diploma for IT Users Level 3

ECDL

Accredited by the British Computer Society, ECDL is the industry standard qualification for office based IT. It consists of 8 modules covering all the main Microsoft Office applications as well as Internet, Email and two theory modules.

ITQ

This is the new NVQ for IT Users. It is most suitable for those in work or on work placement as part of a Modern Apprenticeship or Skillbuild scheme. It consists of a compulsory unit and a tailored selection of optional units. Assessment is portfoilo based with the candidate collecting evidence from real life tasks done in the workplace.
