Assessment
You will be provided with a scheme handbook which acts as both a syllabus and a logbook. As you develop your skills you will sign off in the logbook those skills you feel you have achieved.
All of the units are assessed by practical assignment. There are four different assignments for each unit. You can rehearse these until you feel you are ready and then select the one you wish to attempt.
The results are a three tier system allowing you to gain a Pass, Credit, or Distinction.
In addition to the practical assignment, the compulsory modules, have a theory element, assessed through multiple choice exam. This is taken online using the computer.
