  2. ALISON PACKINGTON Says:

    Hi there guys.

I am still working for EDS in The Matrix house though i only consider it as a stop gap, saying that i have now been there for 6 months.

I have looked at all the success stories on the notice board good on them all for achievement.

I didn’t realise that when i went to Remploy that after 4 or 5 times going there that i would get a job but i did, even though it’s an Agency job with Kelly’s, I’m not signed up with any Agencies so i can leave any time i wanted plus we are not guaranteed a permanent job as it’s temporary ongoing.

Hey Helen how did Christmas in Tenerife go?

Well all for now look after yourselves tell Sue i have a job.
Oh yes i did go for an interview with the DVLA last Dec 18th also one for the Pension Centre last June 10th. I am on the lookout for a permanent job so if you hear of anything going you know my e-mail address

    Alison

    Dear Colleagues,

The Downstairs gents toilet cubicles need urgent attention as since I have been a trainee here (over a month) two cubicles have had a ‘not in use’ sticker on the doors with a third cubicle having water on the floor, creating a petential health hazard. This matter has been reported before by me. In addition, there appears to be no light working above the cubicles to see what one is doing there!

    Jim Sheridan

  7. Robin Gwynn Says:

    James,
Aologies for the delay in getting the toilets fixed, its difficult getting a plumber to turn up these days for less than a £grand! now I hope everything is sorted.
We now have lights, sound (when you pull the chain), and best of all we don’t have to wear wellingtons to visit!

    Robin

  8. James Sheridan Says:

    Dear Robin,

Thanks to you and Swansea ITeC staff, for dealing with the issues relating to the toilets to date. They are, in general, much improved since I first highlighted my original concerns, including the sudden ‘appearance’ of soap!

The flow of the water out of the upstairs toilet tap is improved though still not free flowing.

We appear to have improved access to warm water now since Swansea ITeC were made aware of the previous lack of warm/hot water provision, by the reps and the subsequent discovery that the boilers were not ‘active’.

I am aware that there are costs of engaging a plumber, however, the ‘costs’ of not dealing with the stated issues if, for example,if someone had slipped on the water that was evident in the downstairs gents toilet, and injured themselves. May I also remind you that there was no warning signs used when the water was on the above floor. I therefore consider that the reps. intervention and the subsequent actions by Swansea ITeC may have averted future problems for the future benefit of all.

    Thanks again,

    Jim Sheridan

  9. James Sheridan Says:

Water in downstairs toilet floor again! No hazard sign currently in use. Similar problem occurred last year, see above, in regard Water hazard and the potential for an accident!

  10. Leia Says:

Thanks Jim, passed on to H&S Manager
